Flash Back to A Clockwork Orange?s Eyeball-Torturing ?Aversion Therapy?

Stanley Kubrick arranges for metal clips to be attached to Malcolm McDowell's eyeballs for one of A Clock Orange's most memorable scenes.

For a refresher course in the black-humored sci-fi classic A Clockwork Orange, five clips excerpted from the forthcoming Blu-ray release serve as ample reminder that futuristic thug Alex was evil enough, but the ?aversion therapy? used to cure him of his antisocial ways was even worse.

Stanley Kubrick?s Malcolm McDowell-starring 1971 adaptation of Anthony Burgess? dystopian novel will be released Tuesday on Blu-ray by Warner Home Video. The two-disc A Clockwork Orange 40th Anniversary Edition ($35 retail) includes new interview material and documentaries Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures and O Lucky Malcolm!
